Absurd physics problem, only after level switch

My level works fine when I play just that level. But when I play the entire sequence of levels, this happens. I can’t figure out why switching from a previous level causes this. I don’t carry anything over from the previous level at all.

Can anyone shine some light on this?

The ships are simulating physics and hinged on a physics constraint to give them some movement when the cannon fires

The same thing is happening to us (4.17.1). I believe this is an issue with the engine/editor. I have searched issues.unrealengine.com and it doesn’t seem to have been reported. It also seems to be the same as this.
