Is there a way to move an object by 1 grid snap along the z axis?

I read in another thread that you can use alt+arrow keys to move an object in the world 1 grid snap at a time. unfortunately, this only works along the x and Y axis. Is there a way to do the same along the Z axis, for vertical alignment?

edit: please disregard this question from my point. I found that opening the grid window and moving object in there worked how i wanted.
