Lighting issue:dark meshes

Hello MatteoH2O99

Did you solve your problem or still there? Can you share you model for we can check?

Yes, i did solve the problem: for those model i had to increase the bounds scale and that was the cause for the darkness of the other. I increased the bounds scale of the models and now everything is the same color

Hey,
I’m creating a space scene but i have a problem with some of my meshes:
as you can see from the attached image, the spaceship in the middle and the engines of the left one a darker than everything else. This has an influence on the final image as those meshes appear etremely dark on the screen in comparison to the others. I thought it was because they were skeletal meshes, but the engines aren’t. It isn’t because of normals and tangents either as they have the same import options. It shouldn’t be on the materials, as “lighting only” should use a neutral material for everything, so I’m a little short of ideas, even though i know it is probably a stupid mistake. the meshes are all movable.
What do you think?

Thanks for your time,

Hello MatteoH2O99

How many materials you have on the ships?
Can you check your materials “base color” cuz it looks like you have different values.
Can you try to create new material and drag and drop it on each material element if you have more than one?

Thank you.

I have already tried with a new material but the result is the same. I’m afraid however that there has been a misunderstanding: the screenshot you saw was taken in “lighting only” view, so the base color shouldn’t have infuence at all. I’m sorry I didn’t point that out

I have also discovered that importing the whiter models again will get me the dark ones but i would like the opposite to happen.
Any ideas?
