Ribbons, Edges and Projectiles

Made a Ribbon “Smoke” Particle, from red to black, but its edgy/ has jagged edges. Decreasing of “Distance tessellation Strip Size” down to 0.01 and setting Velocity and Acceleration on Z axis to equal values doesn’t help At All and playing with the tesselation does nothing. Any suggestions?
Also, i need to shoot the particle seen in 109 from the hands, instead of just spawning it at the waist of the character.
