How to fix bad lighting on basic walls

Hello Kiloliuton

First of all, can you upload a screenshot like “Yohaan” said. When we come to your problem, maybe your lightmap resolution is low. Can you increase it and try build your lighting again? But it is impossible to say anything more without seeing a screenshot.

Thanks.

I am trying to make a simple room in UE4 using the starter content walls and some brushes that I converted to static meshes and then set lightmap coordinate to 1. The problem is that when I build the lighting for the scene, I get these weird artifacts on the wall edges and I haven’t been able to correct them.

They manifest as light circles on the edges where two walls meet, a wall meets the ceiling or the floor. I am using the standard point lights (added with L+LMB).

I tried fiddling with the point light attenuation radius, changing lightmass smoothing factor in world settings but nothing git rid of the problem.

Can someone give me any ideas on how to fix this?

Edit: I know the question is a little bit general, but I don’t have much clue as to what is the problem or what to ask. I added a screenshot now.

I also discovered that changing the point lights to spotlights solves the issue. Maybe the artifacts arise because the point lights are too close to the ceiling?

First of all please upload screenshots for better explaining of the issue which u are facing
