How do I enable MotionController input to a simple switch?

I have a very simple game that I’ve designed in which a train runs along a track. Further down, the track bifurcates into 2. I created a very simple switch in Blender with a rod that is animated to move from left to right to indicate which track the train will travel on.

I want to make it so that the player can grab the rod and move it to the right to indicate that the train will go to the right-side track instead of the left (the default is left). However, I’m very new to Unreal and VR and don’t know how to enable this interaction.

Any help would be appreciated!
