I’m having the same error
When you run The Joy Of Creation: Story Mode Patch # 3, an error occurs. I use 2 computers, so I ran a test on both computers. On the 1st computer (Windows 10) I ran this game, I gave an error (CrashReport). Launched the game on the second computer (Windows 7), the game without any comments started, set up the schedule and started playing there. Q: Why does not it work on 1 computer? After all, both computers differ only in other OS, and the drivers and programs are identical, absolutely, even the Windows settings are the same. Please help. Just really want to play on my computer (Windows 10), because it is more powerful than the second computer (Windows 7) and as they say better graphics-atmosphere games.
In my cousin fired and has windows 10.
I wrote to the creator of this game. He also does not know what’s going on.
The game shows me what I have downstairs and when I try to reset it writes it: Fatal error!

Try restarting your computer it worked for me! I’m not sure if it will work for all but for me it worked! Try it and see if it helps

I hate to bump a dead thread here… but if anybody is still looking like I was, I had startup problems galore on my new Windows 10 gaming rig that didn’t seem to have any posted fixes.
I downloaded the latest DirectX Runtime (to fix other issues,) and don’t ask me how, but now Story Mode and Reborn work like a charm. A dark, terrifying charm.
