How to lock the position of aps in a project with World Composition?

Hi,

yes I see that could be a problem. There is a lock button next to sub-level name, which locks level position, but also locks all edit operations on that level. We can add a property to lock only level position in world composition. It will be an option in sub-level details window, but that will be in 4.18.
In 4.16 world composition supports undo operation for level position.

Hi there,

I was looking for this issue, but couldn’t find a topic about it yet. We’re working on a project with World Composition with multiple levels for Landscapes and other levels for cities and the like. Occasionally a Level Artist accidentally moves a Map in the World Composition - if that Level contains Landscape it easily snaps to other Levels with Landscape, so this can be solved pretty easy.
The problem comes with Levels containing no Landscape and have been moved by accident. These Levels don’t snap back in place and the action cannot be undo using the Undo Command. As our Cities need a exact placement, due to connecting streets and prop placement and the like, this can be very frustrating without having to unload the Level without saving and starting all over with the last save.

Is there a possibility to lock a Level position in the World Composition, while still being able to edit and add content inside the Level?

Kind regards
Gil

Hi,

that would be very handy if you could add this feature. Looking forward for 4.18

Thanks a lot!
