Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

There still seems to be some confusion about this. Awfully sorry we haven't been clearer about it.

I posted this back in June to try to answer a lot of the questions we were getting: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?12393-Clarification-on-SpeedTree-for-UE4-Offering&p=82372#post82372.

I hope this helps!

You will need to subscribe to the SpeedTree Modeler for $19/month to create and import trees in UE4.

For more information visit the official site of SpeedTree here: http://www.speedtree.com/ue4/subscription.php

So I have to pay an extra $19/month? It's not included in your UE4 Subscription?

No, it's not. It's a separate middleware.

Sounds like 19$ is much for any of those :)

How do I get SpeedTree Downloaded or at least the trees in it downloaded too?

Hi TheCreativeGames,

That is correct, Speedtree is a plugin for the Editor and requires a subscription to Speedtree to use.
