What's the difference between asking a question in here and asking in the forum?

This is a place where you go to get an answer to a specific question. The forum is a place for discussion. This place is way more suited to the problem-answer style because you can accept answers (like this one hopefully :D), you have subtopics for the places problems might occur (C++, Blueprint and so on) and more. It is easier to find an answer that is in bright green, compared to an answer that is hidden on page 7 of forum thread xy. And seperating the problems from the general discussion makes it easier to find answers and ask questions.

This is place is not for general discussion. You won’t (or should not) find a post like “What do you guys think about this game idea” or “I have a project and want some people to join it” or “I host xy and you can participate”. The Forum is for general discussion, the Answerhub is for solving problems. They are not better than one another, they are used for different things. You CAN have a discussion on the answerhub, and you CAN solve problems on the Forum, but they are less suited for each others task.

The answer hub and the forum look overlapping to me. Could anyone tell me the difference?

Thanks. That makes sense. But if this place is very thing better than the forum, why don’t they just discard the forum and focus on this place? This place is also able to discuss, just as the forum is able to ask questions, as I can see it.

That’s clear. Thanks!
