IOS App Suspension Recovery in Multiplayer

At the moment it seems that when the player hits the sleep button on an IOS device and suspends a UE4 client connected to a server, the sockets used by the IpNetDriver are freed by the OS.

When the UE4 app is unsuspended it doesn’t recover from this and will eventually timeout (I commented out a check in the BSD iv6 socket error handling, it was crashing there before).

Does the engine support any way of cleanly recovering a client-server multiplayer connection after IOS app suspension, or should I simply trigger a reconnect to the server on unsuspension?
