I'm quite inexperienced but I'm trying to help myself visualise a working system of pulleys without actually having to build anything using a matinee. I know SolidWorks might work better but UE is more user-friendly. I've pretty much got everything I need working, I have all the various pieces moving up and down e.c.t but I want to use rope without having to do too much extra work. At the moment I'm trying to have the rope (The object) lead into an empty box which symbolises a winch but the rope doesn't have physics (nor do I need it to have physics) so it clips through the other side.
I want to have the rope disappear as it passes into the box, is there some gateway effect I can use during the matinee so the rope becomes invisible when it passes a certain designated point?
