Object held slides down in hand (Sequence Recorder)

When I hold an object in my hand, it shows up normally. I can record my sequence and the object will behave normally. However, when I go to render the scene, the object slowly slides down in my hand. It seems to take the current Z value and subtract an ever-growing number from it (if I throw it, it does the normal arc but still is lower than it should be. Is this a problem with the sequence recorder or my object?
