Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Fix spline overlapping

Hello, I came across this problem a while ago while trying to create a set of roads using the spline tool. The road mesh is the same as that used in the 'advanced vehicle' starter content just with different textures. alt text

I would like to known how I can fix this problem I have where the blue side parts of the roads overlap when I create intersections and things like that, shown here: alt text

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Typically if you want nice road intersections you need to use intersection meshes at those locations. Two overlapping meshes will always just look like two overlapping meshes. This effect is reduced in most examples by using dirt roads that can intersect all day and sometimes placing some extra meshes/decals to overlap the seams.

The live training video below shows how to set up and toggle left and right guard rails on a road spline mesh.

Maybe like in the video, try making the sides of your road a separate mesh component (akin to the left and right guard rails). You'll have to attach them all individually, but this way you can just disable the road edges at your intersections.
