Can't create c++ project

This is seriously starting to annoy me, I am simply trying to create a c++ project and a problem occurs consisting of:

  • Failed to generate project files
  • Could not load file or assembly
  • Operation is not supported
  • An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of the .NET Framework. This release of the .NET Framework does not enable CAS policy by default, so this load may be dangerous. If this load is not intended to sandbox the assembly, please enable the loadFromRemoteSources switch.

I have done as the page of setting up Visual Studio 2017 for Unreal says, here, I selected the game development for c++ workload, as that seemed to be all that was required. And still, I’m getting this issue.

Note: I have used UE4 in the past, and can create blueprint projects, just not c++ ones.

Thanks to anyone who can help me, in advance.

I’ve tired uninstalling the engine and the launcher and re-installing them with the Visual Studio 2017 workload, but it was to no success. Is there anyone who can help me?

Visual Studio 2015 Update 3 is required for versions 4.17 and will break engine versions older than 4.11.

Same error, I included c++ common tools and everything. What could I be doing wrong?

Ok, so I looked on the page setting up Visual Studio for UE4 and it said on the table:

4.15 or later - VS2017

And VS2017 is what I was using in the first place, what could I be doing wrong?

Issue solved, turns out if you save your projects in a custom file location, c++ will fail, so if you want c++ projects, I guess just save your projects in the default save location, in documents.
