When you’re in the CB and you use the, “New Asset”, dropdown menu to create a new matinee. Matinee data is currently under miscellaneous, but personally it should be placed in the, “basic assets” section. Just my $.02

You are correct for the workflow in this case where you want to have a Matinee data that exists in the Content Browser and can be shared between levels. But just in case you did not know, there are other and quicker ways to make a Matinee actor if you only need it for one level.

  • You can search in Classes or in the Placement Browser for “Matinee Actor” and just drag it into the level
  • In the next release of Rocket, you will also just be able to click the Matinee button in the Toolbar, and immediately in the dropdown will be a Add Matinee option that places an actor in your level.
