(BUG) UE4 translation tool

I duplicated an object in the top ortho view and my axis are now inverted. go move an object left and right i need to grab the gizmo and move it up and down and vice verssa. It came on suddenly and I did nothing differently from what I was normally doing.

Thank you for your report. We were not able to investigate this on the engine version you reported, but there have been many version changes to UE4 since this question was first posted. With a new version of the Engine comes new fixes and it is possible that this issue has changed or may no longer occur. Due to timetable of when this issue was first posted, we are marking this post as resolved for tracking purposes.

I’m having the same issue in version 4.7.2. Translating a brush in the viewport seems to work fine, however whenever I use one of the alternate views the translation controls are flipped.

In you video you are in object space rather than world space. In object space view when you rotate an object it will rotate the widget as well so z axis (blue line) points in the direction of the top of the object whereas world space will always keep the z axis pointing upward even if the actor is rotated. You can switch between object/world space in the viewport. Along the top right of the currently selected viewport, the cube icon represents object space. Clicking on it will change the icon to an image of the world to represent world space
