4K Monitor Support? (Scaling)

Grabbed a 43" UHD TV yesterday to use as a monitor ($200 open box at MicroCenter, 60fps is fast enough for my gaming needs), I set the scaling up to 225%, since the default 1:1 made my icons the size of lady bug, but Unreal does not seem to like that and it literally looks pixelated to the point that it may be worse than my 1080p monitor I replaced. All the other programs I’ve used on the new monitor look fine, but Unreal 4 looks the same, if not worse.

I’ve tried messing around with the widget reflector settings, but those only seemed to scale things up, and did nothing for my clarity problem, it’s almost like Unreal is just trying to output in 1080p.

Any ideas?

The included picture is just two chucks I cut out of screen grabs to show how Unreal looks compared to other programs on the new monitor.

Have the same problem, did u find a solution?

Yes, and no. If you right click on the UnrealEditor icon, then go to Properties > Compatibility, and then enable Override High DPI scaling behavior, and set that to provided by application. Now, Unreal will be in the correct resolution, but depending on your monitor size, you may need to mess with the widget reflector scale setting to get things a good size for you, and unfortunately those settings seem to reset every time you close Unreal no matter what, but it only takes a few sconds to go in and enter a value you like, so I’ll take it for now, although better 4K monitor support would be nice.

hey I found what fixes it for me!

Hello, I have created a plugin to save the ApplicationScale of WidgetReflector. I am sure it will help you.
