How to get the correct character size with the sequence recorder

Hi everyone,

My goal is to record a gameplay sequence of a game for a movie clip. The game is made from the third person character template. The character and its animations has been made from scratch with 3DSmax.

For this purpose, I use the Sequence Recorder. The result seems quite ok, except the character’s size is incorrect.

I think it’s because of the size in the mesh which is overriden. See the capture below :

May be it’s not a good practise to override the size but it would be nice if the sequence recorder can take account of it.
We tried to reexport the mesh and the animations from 3DSMax but so far we couldn’t get what we want. There is still a problem with the size.

Do you have any ideas? How can the sequence recorder be aware of the real size we want it to be? Is there a “hack” to force the scale?

I’m not sure I understand or at least I’m not reproducing what you’re seeing. I’m on 4.17.

I setup a new blueprint with just a cube and scaled it 5, 2, 2. Compiled that then added that to sequencer and keyframed the translation so I would have some motion. I set that sequence to autoplay and then I recorded another sequence with the actor to record set to that new blueprint. The resulting sequence is what I expect. The scale on that new blueprint is 5, 2, 2.

Do I have a different setup than what you’re trying to achieve?

Hi Max Chen, thank you for your answer. It’s quite complicated to explain the context. In our project, 3d character with animations are used instead of you simple cubes… I suggest to MP you the project so that you can reproduce our problem.

Anyone got a solution on this?
