Emissive lighting through translucent object

I am trying to set up a scene similar to this:

Basically, I want the bulb’s filament to light up the scene. I set the filament’s material to emissive and set the glass shell to 0.1 opacity. However, I can barely see the filament up close.

What am I missing here? I am taking baby steps here, would really appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction

you may need to crank up the emissive power. use a multiply node on your emissive map to increase the brightness.

I have tried bumping it up to 50000, didn’t really help :-/

i wasn’t paying enough attention when i answered. i suggest you place a point light in the scene. by default, emissive textures do not light other objects. you could also try this:

Thanks! I went with your suggestion and added a point light. Getting close to what I wanted. Still have to figure out the reflections and shadows thru the translucent material.

Want to note here that the surface area of the filament was too low for the emissive glow to show up. I fattened up the mesh and got better results.
