Bug with edited geometry?

I’m not certain this is a bug, but I’ve had issues with this at several points.

Here is the process:
Edit geometry
Eliminate X number of vertices
Add or subtract the brush to existing geometry
Get weird results.

As you can see in the image below, the additive brush seems to work correctly, but a section of it will extend out well beyond its original intended area. This only occurs when I’ve edited a brush, and eliminated vertices or faces.

If this is not a bug, please let me know what I’m doing wrong.

I got you. You cut the circle and left the bottom open. Select the bottom vertices and in geometry mode click create. Then flip the the plane you created over. If you need more help hit me up

Hello Christopher!

Thank you very much for the reply. You’re solution seems to work in some cases, but I may be misinterpreting or doing something wrong in other cases. I apologize, but by flipping the plane I’ve created over, do you mean that I should take the face that is generated by clicking all of the bottom vertices, and flip it 180 degrees?

Thanks again for your help.

I made a quick movie.

Hello Chris,

I have no idea how I missed the big “Flip” button on the edit panel. Thank you very much for that video tutorial, it was greatly helpful. I’ll let people know about your site, and if I ever get to producing good 3D assets, I’ll contact you! Thanks again for your help.

If you are making a game I would like to help just let me know and I’ll give you stuff for free. is my email
