Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Error after 4.17 update: "The Asset 'map_name.umap' failed to save."

I updated to 4.17 last night, and since the update when I try to save my map, it gives me the following error

alt text

I tried to save a copy of the map, same error. I tried to delete the BuiltData file and generate a new one, same error. I made sure I only have one instance of UE4 editor open. After a google search, I've came up empty. so, I'm wondering if anyone here had this issue before.

Now, what's even more bizarre is that if I click "Continue" it prompts me with a "Packages Failed to Save" window but it actually DOES save my changes into the map. Could this be a weird 4.17 bug?

Thanks, HP

I have the same problem as well. It's probably a 4.17 bug.
