Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Geometry Question

I seem to have a problem with subtracting from a bsp brush. If i create a cube as additive and then create a smaller cube as subtractive to cut out the first cube, when i move the subtractive brush out of the way the original is filled back in again. I've also tried building the geometry and that doesn't help either. I'm sure i'm missing something really simple, but the last time i used unreal was way back in the 3.0 days and lots seem to have changed since then.

Not Sure if this is the right way or the wrong way but once i had both additive and subtractive brushes in place I merged the two into a static mesh which gives me the complete shape i was looking for.
