Missing materials after moving project to another PC

Hello everybody,

I bought new PC and I tried to move whole project to the new hard drive.
As you can see on screenshot, a bunch of errors appear after migration.

What I did, is just simply copy whole folder to USB and paste to another location ( i thought there is another way to do this, but everyone recommend this method.)

Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your time.

P.S I am not sure about the section, sorry if i put it in wrong category.

Did you fix the redirectors (right click on your content folder and “Fix Up Redirectors in Folder”) before copying the folder to USB ? That’s the only thing I can come up with and I didn’t test it, it doesn’t break your project, but just saying it might not work.

I just tried your idea, but unfortunately it didn’t help :frowning:

I will try one more time, can someone look into it?

Have similar issues. When copying my whole project from PC to USB, then to another PC some material Functions go missing.

Hello Darko, were you able to solve the problem? Exactly the same thing is currently happening to me. It’s a nightmare since I can’t find a way to transfer a project from one PC to another. Currently I do it via 1gbps network. It happened to me with 2 baked light projects and 1 project with Lumen.

I would appreciate any information you could give me.

Well, I’m going to leave a comment responding to myself, I’ll tell you the resolution of what, for me, is an absurdly funny problem.

After looking for possible solutions everywhere. I carried out a procedure, it is not routine (at least for me) it should be part of some controls at some point in our work. Perhaps those more experienced in Unreal can affirm or deny this.

Basically what I did was, do a review (verification) of the version that I am currently using, 5.2, on both computers. And after that everything was just as usual. The textures and their materials appeared as always without any problems at all.

I leave this comment to provide a solution to this problem that, although few of us have experienced it, is still a very frustrating problem.

Greetings.
