Character Enormous and Distorted After Retargeting Animations

Hello,

I followed along with the [official Unreal tutorial for retargeting different skeleton][1]. In this video it explains how to setup a rig and basically remap all of the bones for my character to match that of the skeleton I want to mimic animations from. After this it shows how to update the base pose so they’re both matching and then how to re target the animation. When I do this however my character becomes totally giant and completely distorted where it’s basically just a head and hands. What can I do to fix this?

I found another post with the same issue but there wasn’t a resolution on it that I could see. I’d like to mention that I don’t have Maya or any 3D modeling tool and that I downloaded this asset from the internet. Is there a way I can fix this within UE4?
