Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Light scattering

I need help in building realistic light scattering in my scene. I have sun light in my scene and some indoor lights.

I want results like in this image... Look how beautifully the light bounces up from the ground from the sunlight and the light scattering from the wall light stripes.alt text

I tried to use the emissive colour option in the material option but it didn't work at all. It is just creating a light around the object, but it is not illuminating anything.....alt text

Please help me to achieve proper results for both of these light effects: 1. Surface light bounce and scattering 2. Light scattering from an object and illuminating other objects in range.

Thanks in advance...........

you probably need baked lightmaps, if you're not already using them. emissive materials by default will not light other objects; there's a setting you can check to enable them to bake lightmaps.
