How do i prevent a beam particle system from leaving ghost trails from the motion blur?

Hey i’m trying to create an electricity beam that goes in a straight line, i got the visual part mostly down but since this beam is going to be attached to a weapon everytime i move the weapon around (especially to the sides) i see a lot ghost trails and it looks pretty bad, is there a way to fix / minimize this issue? At first i thought it was the temporal AA but setting it to no AA didn’t change anything.

Update: It was the motion blur, but how do i counter this?

The problem was the motion blur, which makes sense ! Is there a way to prevent the particle effect to be processed by the motion blur?
