Edit 'Preview' watermark

Hey all, there is good info on removing the ‘preview’ txt from the viewport but it still shows in an exported render via matinee… I know one has to build lighting to remove this but i really want to avoid simply because I’m using UE4 for ArchViz… and changing static lights to dynamic isn’t the better option simply because static lighting looks way better (distance shadows, looks more natural & realistic to me etc.)… Does anyone know an .ini file modification that can be made to simply change (and thus delete) the ‘Preview’ watermark, of some other mod in the back end?

In other words, if there is a watermark that is shown on un-built lighting elements (like image), surely it exists somewhere and can be edited, I mean, it even has a font… it has to be a png alpha or something?! if the source watermark file can be found then I imagine it is possible to just make it transparent disappear on un-built environments.

thanks mangs!

Holy moly quickest response ever! You gave me clarity Clarity. Thank you.

It is actually just a material in /Engine/EditorMaterials called PreviewShadowIndicatorMaterial

You will need to Tick '‘Show Engine Content’ in the view options of the Content Browser then use the sources panel to navigate to the location.

Can I just delete this Preview Shadow Indicator Material?

Super helpful. Thank you very much!

Nope. UE won’t start up if it can’t find that material.
