Failed to import APEX clothing asset from selected file

hello everyone I’m trying to make my own project with ue4.

but there seems to be a little problem and i can’t figure it out for a long time

I downloaded this mesh from mixamo and imported it into maya just to give it physic clothing effects

the tutorial [ApexCloth in Maya/Maya LT and Stingray 1.3][2]

after finishing the physx settings (create physx clothing, create kinematic rigid body…etc)

i tried to export it, which the tutorial did, but it seems it didnt work out

after that a realized the mesh i downloaded from mixamo, the body parts weren’t separated , but combined together as one

on the other hand, I watched other apex tutorials for example: making a flag with apex clothing effects

the flag imported into ue4, was separated into the cylinder and the flag itself

so , the next thing i did was grouping everything without the mesh’s cape together in maya

and assigned the cape a temporary material , which seems a correct dicision(so the cape in the picture is white)

this means i correctly seperated the cape from other parts

at last, which is now, i still dont know why i can’t import the apex file…

i just cant overcome this irritating problem

and i dont even have a clue

please give me some advice or a solution

it will be helpful and i’ll appreciate it.
