Question about Character Collision

I’m new to UE4. Here is my character -

. There is a CapsuleComponent, there is a vertical claydder (capsule), it can not be edited (dimensions, rotation, etc.), on it I disabled colysis. Then why is it needed?I need capsulecomponent as in the picture (because of the form of the character). Is this a normal decision, to create your own collider because of the unusual shape of the character? And why I can not uninstall CapsuleComponent? Why does he respond if the colitis is turned off?
