Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

[Closed] [4.17.1 Bug Report] No collision in editor for mesh with translucent materials


Not sure this is old or in 4.17.1 version, I not work with translucent meshes before, I code mostly from many UE 4 versions.

After changing mesh material with correct collisions to translucent material, like a glass, mesh no longer can be select on map in editor. It can be selected from list of course, but not in game view. In simulate everything working as expected - mesh have right collision, it happens only in editor. After changing back to any opaque material, mesh can be selected again.

Repro Steps:

  1. Place mesh with any material

    1. Change mesh material for translucent - I test with many, but for example door glass from content examples

    2. Can't select mesh in editor with mouse

Hello Vaheva,

I was unable to reproduce the issue you are having on our end. I have a couple of questions to help narrow down the issue you are experiencing.

  1. Are you able to reproduce this in a clean project?

  2. If so, could you provide a detailed list of steps so that I can reproduce this on our end?

  3. could you provide sceenshots of your issue?

This problem is gone, I don't know why? Maybe I had mesh with bad uv, can't say it now. But I test it on new project and on this where I had this issue and is no more - luckily! :)
