Choose download location in Market place

What happened to the option to choose the download location in the Unreal Engine Launcher under the Market Place?

Here is a workaround I am using.

If you are using Windows you can use the ā€˜MKLINK -Dā€™ command to create the symbolic link to another folder/drive or network share.

Hi otaku0424,

There has been a recent change to where sample content is now downloaded to your ā€œVaultā€, located in your engineā€™s install directory at \Unreal Engine\Launcher\VaultCache. You then make copies of the project in a location of your choosing that you can work with.

Please feel free to provide your feedback on this workflow.

Cheers

I have my engine installed on my primary SSD drive with projects going into a storage drive. Iā€™m sure many others have a similar configuration. The SSD does not have a lot of room. Some flexibility on the vault location would be nice.

Guess Iā€™ll just create a symlink to that directory.

As mentioned by phischphood in the linked Answerhub question, thereā€™s an option to change the Vault location for downloads from the Marketplace in the Epic Games Launcher. Click on the settings icon in the top right and then ā€œEdit Vault Cache Locationā€.
