Error Message: Can't create landscape with a feature level less than SM4

Does this mean landscapes won’t work on mobile? Or that you just can’t create them for some reason in ES2 preview?

I want the answer to this also. If I can’t use landscape how do I get terrain?

Hi kevythedude, I think you can create the landscape in SM5 and then switch to ES2 afterward. Not sure why this error message exists. I have not tested landscapes on mobile, but given what I’ve read on here, they should be compatible (but limited in how many material layers you can use, due to ES2 shortcomings).

Thanks AJ. Yes indeed, the error message only comes up while previewing one of the mobile rendering levels such as metal es3. If you create and edit the mesh in SM5 it will work on iPhone.
