Moving content to subfolders

Hi Guys

I have spent hours looking at this . I am making a map for Pavlov i am downloading free items off the market place that go to your content folder e.g. Documents\Unreal Projects\Pavlov\Content. Work when they are there.
(Same for starter content)

I know for it to work in Pavlov it has to be \Documents\UnrealProjects\Pavlov\Content\CustomMaps\UGC112727****
(if its not in UGC112727**** folder the game don’t see it)

But when i move the files it breaks them they lose there textures. I understand this has something to do with UE4 and it losing its references because the file has moved . (spent a lot of time looking at the forum)

I have had a go at moving them in file explorer, in the content browser, migrating them and right clicking on the folder and “fix up redirectors in folder” nothing works (only thing that works is from project to project content to content folder not content to Content\CustomMaps\UGC112727**** )

ATM i am going into the materials and changing each one by hand but this gets hard when the materials are more complex and takes a lot of time,

You would think moving files 2 folders in would be easy turns out its not

Any help would be a appreciated

I have been doing the same thing and unfortunately there is no solution. My biggest advice and how I handle it is by creating a separate project with the marketplace assets and then migrating the files right into the Pavlov UGC***** folder. Unreal engine warns that issues might happen if you migrate to another folder but it will work just fine for most things. Unfortunately not all of them. The issue is that all the referenced textures and files need to be inside the Pavlov UGC**** folder but even when they are some will still fail. Mapss with emissions have weird behavior in Pavlov so I removed all emissions from my materials and re-importing sometimes helps.
