BSP Brushes

For some reason, neither I, nor my co-worker can find our BSP brushes. It doesn’t select it when you go to the tool, so you can’t focus or find the brush.

So I don’t know if it’s a bug, or what… But yeah. it’s extremely difficult to make a volume without searching through your entire level for a small BSP brush.

Thanks!

Hi Ryan,

If you are talking about the red Builder Brush, then you can try this: On your viewport, click on “Show” menu>Advanced and see if “Builder Brush” is ticked or not. If its not ticked that means its hidden, just tick it and press F2 as Rama has said above and it’ll be visible to you.

In case you are talking about the BSPs themselves, then may be somehow you might have set their visibility to Hidden. In that case, in the Outliner, click on the name of the BSP which might be “Brush2” or something, right-click on its name, go to Visibility and click on “Show Selected”.

I hope one of these is helpful.

Cheers!

Hi Ryan,

Shashank’s solutions are accurate and should help you to select the Builder Brush. Also be aware that currently by default, the Builder Brush is positioned rather far beneath the world origin.

If you are still having issues, let us know.

Dear Ryan,

Are they listed in your Scene Outliner?

You can find their names their and click on them and it will select them in the world.

If you double click the name in the scene outliner it will focus the camera on your BSPs

Nono, I’m having trouble finding the brush in the first place. It always puts the brush somewhere extremely far away from where I’m actually working (maybe at 0,0,0 i’m not sure…)

I assume you’re talking about the Red Builder Brush.

Press F2 in your editor viewport to select it.
