CONSTANT annoying crashes in editor

It is so frustrating that this thing crashes apparently randomly.

Can be something like moving around in the view port or creating a simple integer variable.

I am not even working in complicated scenes.

Default scene, working on a little procedural generation that’s only 10 by 10 by 10 tiles.

There is no way my system cannot handle the processing power required.

Depends. But we need more info than “UE4 Crashes”. Code samples, Logs, Error messages is a good start :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I do not know how to access the log files.

This is the summary …

You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash.

I run a pretty powerful system. I have never been so frequently frustrated at something not working. On average I get 4 crashes per hour. Which proves I am crazy to have been trying to work on this ■■■■ thing for about 8 hours now.

Cannot make progress in this state.

BTW, I monitored system performance throughout the last process of running app and it freezing and eventually crashing

CPU and RAM usage didn’t go above 30 and 60%. Running on an SSD so writing shouldn’t be an issue either. I do only have 8GB of ram but I have used this very same system a few years ago to work on things.

Only thing that’s changed is the version number of UE4.

\Saved\Crashes

There you can access the crash logs. And take a look at what the system was doing before it crashed. For my own experience, when it happens a lot of crashes in a row, it could be because some asset or blueprint turned corrupted.
