How to keep game running properly?

My Train Sim World:CSX Heavy Haul game crashes 5 minutes into launch. A dialogue box appears telling me my NVidia Driver 341.02 has known faults and I should upgrade to driver 378.01 which is beyond my Graphics Card a GeForce 9400GT. I am waiting for NVidia to bring out a new driver which will work on my game. Do you have a patch that could remedy the problem? My current driver from NVidia was released on 14th December 2016 so one may be due soon, however, my game was released around that time. Please do what you can to help. Thank you. Dennis.

You do not meet the minimum specs for this game. I am really impressed you managed to launch the game in the first place. I mean 512MB of DDR2 vRAM. Like, how do you even?!

Also, I seriously doubt there will be a new driver for your card. I’m afraid you’re out of luck and your system is too outdated for new games. Besides, this a game engine development answer hub.

Sorry.

Thank you for your swift response to my question.
On booting up, my computer tells me I have 1024MB vRAM, however this may be erroneous. The Nvidia website won’t allow me to install the necessary driver for the game because my GeForce 9400GT Graphics Card is outdated. Rather than upgrade the card I think I shall wait to purchase a new PC with better specs all round. I’m grateful to you for putting me wise. Now I know.

No worries. These days you do not need to spend a fortune to get an entry gaming PC. A computer with parts that are 3-4 years old should be perfectly capable of playing all games, albeit not on the highest settings. A budget of $500 should be enough to get you going and ensure a bit of upgradability later on.

When choosing new PC parts, focus on the video card, it’s going to do the majority of heavy lifting.
Good luck!

Hi Everynone,
Thanks for the recommendations. Your advice will be invaluable when choosing my next PC. The empathise on getting the right video card makes first rate sense, and one I shall follow. I consider the solution closed. Thanks again.
