I guess Epic banned IP from China. Evil Epic.
Just uninstall everything from Epic and never look back again.

You can use a proxy by clicking a gear icon at top right corner and checking “use proxy” you can find a list here

Enter it in this format: 192.168.0.1:8080 (ip address + “:” + port)

After the product starts installing just untick the proxy checkbox, because they are slow as hell.

This worked for me. I had to try a few proxies to get a successful connection but the 3rd one I tried worked.
