Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

GetUserProfile from Oculus library doesn't work

After updating to from 4.16 to 4.17.2 GetUserProfile from oculus library is always returning 0.064 as IPD, no matter how I move lens spacing thingy.. Tried to reboot, recalibrate oculus, clean all unreal cache files etc. without success. Oculus plugin is enabled. I turned off all toher vr plugins. It was working perfectly.

Hello dzarafata,

I have a couple of questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. You said this was working as you would expect in 4.16, could you provide a detailed set of steps on how to reproduce the results you are seeing on your end so that I can take a closer look at the issue?

  2. Could you provide screen shots of any settings/blueprints being used?

It's working fine on 4.16.3 and IPD is currently set IPD in oculus. On 4.17.2 GetUserProfile returns true but IPD is always 0.064, no matter of what is really set in oculus.

It happens also if You try to get IPD in clean projects. I used vr template, and just printed IPD in tick. It's always 0.064
