No fullscreen mode after update to 4.3.0 (Oculus Rift)

asked me to post that problem here so that’s what I’ll do :slight_smile:

after updating to 4.3.0 I cannot ALT+ENTER into fullscreen anymore (Realistic Rendering Demo). Here is the log part:

Hi ,

It looks like you may be building and using the launch option at the same time as build. Either through Frontend, or Launch on in the Editor. Both of these do give the results you mention, and you cannot switch to fullsreen (even using console commands). If you were to look in the project folder > Saved > StagedBuilds > WindowsNoEditor > projectname > Binaries > Win64, the .exe there will allow you to run in fullscreen with the Oculus. Let me know if it does not help.

As a temporary fix for startup fullscreen (for me at least) copying the saved folder under Buildlocation/windowsnoeditor/projectname/Saved from a package built in an older version of unreal (I used 4.1) will give you access to the fullscreen stuff in the ini files.
You probably only need that ini in the right file structure but I wanted the rest anyway.

I’ve checked in a fix for this for anyone who is building from code. The fix might change a bit, but this should cover folks for now.

When -windowed was specified on the command line (which happens when launching from the editor), toggling between windowed and fullscreen no longer worked. If neither -fullscreen or -windowed were specified, then toggling would work correctly.
