Missing cached shader map

Hi everybody,

since 4.17 my material compile times take a long time. I just saw that I get a message in the output log which says for every material I try to compile:

LogMaterial: Missing cached shader map
for material Checker_2048_Mat,
compiling.

seconds.

Is there something known about that?

4.18 crashes when opening terrain painter…
The only trace of I could get is : LogMaterial: Missing cached shader map for material , compiling.

so… something is missing.

Anyone??

I have the same problem. When launching the game, the shader is missing and compiling again and again in a loop…

I haven’t seen this issue in a long time now. Probably they fixed it in meantime. So I will close this topic.
