How can I create true weight/momentum for my 3rd person character?

Basically looking for what’s in the title, looking for somewhat similar physics to a vehicle.

I followed a tutorial online on how to adjust your character to slopes, however a big flaw in doing this is that my character doesn’t carry any sort of in-air momentum or when landing. For example, if I were to jump off going up a steep incline and land, my character will be slowed until the float curve has updated. My character also drops in air if I do not hold forward. I’d like to apply actual momentum to my character in a way where transitioning from different terrains isn’t based on what my last angle was when landing.

Any guidance in this topic would be much appreciated, as I’m not too experienced in Unreal.

Small Bump.
