Editor Preformance Drop over time due to Occlusion Culling

While using the editor I see a huge performance drop over time (± 30 minutes). This happens when editing blueprints, when the editor is minimized or if I leave it alone. Tracing the issue let to “Occlusion Cull” being flagged as a possible cause. Please see screenshot 1 when starting the editor and screenshot 2 & 3 after about 30 min. This happens in all projects, even with UE 4.18 preview.
