Engine loading is too slow, when moving to a new ver. "93% problem"

Dear Sirs, Good day!

Need some help about understanding, what can be a problem.
Were using 4.15 ver until 4.17.2 came out and all hotfixes were done.
Then we moved our project to a new version of engine (4.17) and something strange happened.
When we’ve made our project at 4.15 it was loading much faster at first time, even a critical “93% stutter”, was about 4-5 minutes on HDD and much much faster on SSD. We have a very crowded (by assets and meshes) project, and even after error shutdown it was launching like a lightning, even on HDD.

THEN we moved to 4.17 throu 4.16 , our project is now loading smth about 20-25 minutes EVEN after a shutdown of engine. And it’s always like a wall “93%” barrier, where it checks something like level content and loads it all or smth like this, why? How can we make it load faster? It’s okay if it will load long for first time, but when you need to relaunch - it’s PAIN and makes me cry into the pillow… Project is about 30-35 Gb content. (4.15 = lightning, 4.17 = turtle)

PLZ HELP!

WITHOUT OVERCLOCKING, fully stable and cold.

Still couldn’t find the answer. Nothing works 8((

  1. Did you upgrade your Unreal Engine Editor from launcher or compiled from the source code?
  2. Did you try testing the same issue on a blank project to see if the difference is still visible?
    ( Blank project loading time on 4.15 vs Blank project loading time on 4.17 )
    2.A. If there is no difference in loading times between the versions, can you provide more info about your project structure?
  3. Did you try to remove temp folders after upgrade? the /saved/ and /intermediate/ folders. And rebuild project/solution?
  4. Just in case can you please run your project with “C:\YourGamePath\L3.uproject” -log And post the logs here?

Well that wouldn’t help, but this was useful and helpful for 4.16 version in some terms to lower loading times. Smth strange happening in 4.17 after inserting old assets from 4.8 we reladed them and then it began to work faster. But still it’s assets loading (with or without manager) have something very strange in log.
