Forcing Near Objects to Render in Stereo with Monoscopic Far Field Rendering

I would like to use the Monoscopic Far Field Rendering in my upcoming GearVR game to maximize the performances of the game.

Thus, to further optimize the render and in addition to rendering only a single monoscopic view beyond a preset distance (say 10 meters), I plan to only render low LOD models in this monoscopic view.

I can easily set the low resolution models to render only in Mono by selecting the “Render in Mono” option under the “Rendering menu” in the “Details” panel.

I also would like to ensure that the high LOD models are only rendered in the stereoscopic views.

What would be the best way to achieve this?
