Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Non-standard Frame Size Support in Mediaframework

Hello all. I'm trying to use some non-standard video frames in UE's media framework, and have noticed some odd results. An example frame size if 2850x256 @ 60fps. If I encode this to an h.264/MP4 via Adobe Media Encode, it won't play in UE but will play fine in WMP. (I checked because of the known QT AVC issue.) Now, if I use the same settings but reduce my frame size to 1920x172, it will play. I was unable to find any documentation on MF's acceptable frame sizes and h.264 compatibility. Any info or workarounds would be appreciated. Thanks!

In 4.17, certain formats required video dimensions to be a multiple of 16. This should be fixed in 4.18. Do you mind sharing your video, so I can add it to my test database? Thanks!
