2 sided materials

imagine 1 plane with 2 sided material, I want to know when light baking on this plane, what will result? ue4 creat 2 lightmaps for it or one side going to be dark and one side will get light information?
Thanks .

the light will be baked on the non-backface side, and applied to the backfacing side.
there is an option to allow lighting bakes on both sides, but they get mixed together as one.

its probably better to just make a very thin mesh in case you need shadow/light data on both sides.

Thanks for replay Lous.
the Problem is object have an empty cylinder shape and its have some translucent material on it . when I use the thin surface for it it’s not will good look.

do you have any suggestions for having baked light in 2 sides and have must accurate translucency?
and can you show me where is the option you mentioned light bake for 2 sides ? and when ue4 light baked map together it will show them separately or it will show the mixed result?
Thanks .

ahh you making a lamp.
try two sided foliage or something with subsurface scattering. as blending mode.
