Landscape is not static, causes crash

So I’ve been working on a project for a couple months now and the landscape has become very detailed. Something changed recently and now I get a crash whenever landscape splines are used. The only error message I get says the landscape is not static and the static splinemesh cannot be placed on it.

None of the settings in the details tab could have caused this, and I was unable to replicate the issue on a different landscape. It can however be replicated in different projects on different engine versions by copying the broken landscape to a new project.

Landscape splines are essential and I’m not able to make much progress with them not working. Any help is hugely appreciated.

Never mind, I found out that I could simply export the heightmap and terrain layers so I’m just gonna do that for now, still no idea what the problem could be.
