It won’t load past 35%. It got to 45% once, but it still won’t load. Tried the reinstalling trick and it still doesn’t work. Please help…
Hello ,
I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.
Quick questions:
- Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
- If so, could you open any other engine versions?
- What OS are you currently using?
- Could you provide your dxdiag or equivalent?
- Yes. I just open up the launcher, start up the Unreal Editor, and the problem happens. Can’t even open a new project because the editor hasn’t even finished loading up.
- No.
- Mac OS High Sierra 10.13
- What even is that?
This never happened before. The problem just started to happen all of a sudden (even in previous OS).
Try this…
As suggested by jimd667, could you try verifying your engine?
Example:
Tried verifying. Still did not work.
Please. I would like to use this engine more. I don’t want to restore my computer.
Additional questions:
- Are you running any sort of anti virus that may be preventing the engine from opening?
- Can you open a project directly (by double clicking the Uproject file(no through the launcher))?
Thanks for the help. Suddenly, it started working. I don’t know why or how. Maybe it’s because I verified the application a lot of times. Definitely something the team should look into.
hi i know this is a long time ago but have you figured out howd you fix the problem? im experiencing it right now and there arent any proper answers in answerhub
Hello everyone I had a similar issue and my problem was I activated some project settings inside the engine and it added the features to the DefaultEngine.INI in my config folder project. All I had to do was to replace the file with the original one that is created with any default project and it opened!
