License Agreement?

I was wondering do you really need to add the following text in to your games credits?

.
.
.
“[Product name] uses the Unreal® Engine. Unreal® is a trademark or registered trademark of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States of America and elsewhere”

“Unreal® Engine, Copyright 1998 – xxxx, Epic Games, Inc. All rights reserved.” However, the license agreement also includes the following:

“You agree not to engage in any activity that could […] or diminish any goodwill relating to any Epic Trademarks.”

Well you not planing to “diminish any goodwill relating to any Epic Trademarks” are you? So whats the problem? You need to put those trademark notice as you will be placing unreal logo in the game, look on trailers of the games using unreal they have that too because the show “Powered By Unreal”. I also move question to legal category

So since I’m not putting UE4 Logo in my game that means the above text doesn’t have to be in my game or is it mandatory to put above text in your games credits without logo?? Thank you for reply!

Under the EULA, the text in quotes in Section 12 is the part that is supposed to go in your Credits. That doesn’t include the diminish goodwill part.

As I was making a small project for this official website i only wrote ‘Made with Unreal Engine’ since nothing from UE coding was used just the platform and as far as I understand you “own all rights in the Products you develop under the License, other than the Engine Code and Content, Third Party Software, and any Contribution
